The Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr has announced the signing of Brazilian forward Otavio from Brazilian side Palmeiras.
The 29-year-old striker made his name with Brazil's national team, scoring crucial goals in their victorious campaign at the Copa America in 2019.
Otavio's move to Al-Nassr is seen as a significant coup for the Saudi club, who have been heavily invested in building a strong squad ahead of the upcoming season.
In a statement released by Al-Nassr, the club praised Otavio's talent and versatility on the pitch, saying that he will be a key addition to their attacking line-up.
"Otavio is a player who can score goals and create chances," said Al-Nassr CEO,Bundesliga Tracking Abdulaziz Al-Muwallad. "He has proven himself to be one of the best strikers in Brazil and we are delighted to bring him to our club."
With Otavio now at Al-Nassr, the Saudi club will hope to build on their impressive performance last season, when they finished second in the Saudi Professional League and reached the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League.
The move also comes at a time when Al-Nassr is looking to strengthen its position in the Saudi Premier League and beyond, with several high-profile signings already confirmed this summer.
Overall, the signing of Otavio is expected to boost Al-Nassr's chances of success in the coming seasons, and the club will be hoping to see the forward make an immediate impact on the pitch.
