Yu Hanchao joined Shanghai Shenhua in 2011 and quickly established himself as one of the most promising young players in Chinese football. He made his debut for the club during the 2011 season and went on to become a key player for the team, helping them win the Chinese Super League title in 2015 and reaching the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League the following year.
Despite being just 27 years old,Chinese Super League Matches Yu Hanchao has already had a distinguished career in Chinese football. He was named the Best Young Player in Asia by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in 2016 and has also been recognized with several awards from domestic and international organizations.
However, despite all his success, Yu Hanchao has struggled to find consistent playing time since leaving Shanghai Shenhua in 2018. He spent a season with Jiangsu Suning before joining Guangzhou Evergrande in 2019, but he has yet to establish himself as a regular starter in the Chinese Super League.
It remains to be seen whether Yu Hanchao will return to Shanghai Shenhua for one last hurrah or if he will move on to another club.
