Borussia Dortmund has confirmed that Jadon Sancho is out for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury.
The English winger was substituted in the second half of their match against Hertha Berlin on Wednesday and it was later announced that he had sustained a hamstring strain.
Sancho, who has been one of the standout performers this season, will now miss the remainder of the Bundesliga campaign as well as the international break.
Dortmund manager Lucien Favre said: "We're very disappointed to lose him for so long. He's a player we really value."
Favre also revealed that Sancho could be available for the team's next game, which is scheduled for December 26th.
However, it remains to be seen how much time he will need to recover from his injury before returning to action.
